| Moving Dunes. The dunes system has an extension of 40 km2, and is one of the largest of the continent. They are situated between the Valizas River and Cabo Polonio. Buena Vista Hill. From its peak, 58 m. above sea level, there´s an incredible view of the ocean and the horizon, and towards the coasts of Cabo Polonio and Valizas. Valizas´ River. It is born in Castillos lake and flows down into the Atlantic Ocean. It is special for boat trips to enjoy the variety of native birds. Boundary Stone. In the lower slope of the Buena Vista hill, in October 1752, the first boundary stone was placed in accordance to the 1750 Madrid Treaty signed by the kingdoms of Spain and Portugal. The boundary stone is still there. Surf. The beaches have ideal waves for surfing Birdwatching point. Huge variety of migratory birds. Whale watching point. From August to November the whales can be observed in the ocean. |
